Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Record Stores?

An story of the early 90s Columbus, Ohio music, bar, and record store scene as remembered by Anyway Records' Bela Koe Krompecher. Follow Bela and his friend Keith down N. High Street, from Larry's Bar to Crazy Mamas (now both long lost), as they swim through frat boy laden crowds, fend off nazi skinheads, and... oh yeah...  meet the Ramones!

Jim Shepard: Negotiate Nothing

Bela's remembrances continue with the story of local DIY innovator and musician Jim Shepard told in a combination comic and zine format.

Known in part for bands like V3, Vertical Slit and Ego Summit, Jim tragically cut his own life short in 1998.

Jenny Mae 'n Jerry Wick
The final part of Bela's comic memoir are the most personal, retelling the stories of his relationships with singer/songwriter Jenny Mae Leffel and Jerry Wick of Gaunt. (Sadly, Jenny Mae and Jerry have also left us.)

Taken as a whole, these stories are about how music creates community and indelible friendships.
